Getting started at Ocean Breeze

Find out if this is
the right next home.

Ocean Breeze Living offers furnished, month-to-month supportive housing for adults 18+ in Fort Lauderdale. Start with a conversation about your housing needs, current availability and the application process.

Furnished shared living room at Ocean Breeze Living.

Who is Ocean Breeze designed for?

Our residence is designed for adults who have completed or are currently engaged in mental health treatment and want a stable home with structure and community while rebuilding daily routines and independence.

The co-ed residence has separate wings and capacity for up to 22 residents. Private and semi-private furnished rooms are offered, subject to availability. See the rooms, amenities and actual residence photos.

Ocean Breeze provides supportive housing and coordinated access to outside resources. It does not provide medical treatment. Individual fit must be discussed with our team; the website cannot determine whether the setting meets someone’s needs. Involve current providers when considering how a housing move fits with ongoing care.

Ask for the current written house expectations, including the substance policy, and clarify how they apply before making a commitment. Discuss any medication-related arrangements directly with the team and your current providers.

How long do residents stay?

The minimum stay is 30 days. A typical stay is 12–18 months, with month-to-month arrangements. These describe different things: the minimum is the starting commitment, while the typical duration describes the longer period residents commonly spend here.

A typical stay is not a required term, a guaranteed placement or a deadline for independence. Before applying, discuss your expected timeline, renewal arrangements and move-out notice requirements with our team. The terms provided during the application process govern your arrangement.

How to get started

  1. Make an initial inquiry. Call 561-449-0556 or use the contact form to discuss fit and current room availability.
  2. Get the application details. Our team will explain the next steps and information required. An inquiry is not a completed application or a room reservation.
  3. Complete the review. The process includes a background review to support a safe, harmonious home. Ask how the review works and what information is needed.
  4. Confirm the move-in arrangements. Once next steps are agreed with the team, confirm the room, written costs, arrival details and house expectations before arranging travel.

Prepare for the first conversation

You do not need to put your medical history into a website inquiry. Begin with your preferred timing, the type of room you are interested in, and whether you are calling for yourself, a family member or a client.

  • Room and timing: Is a suitable room available for the intended move-in date? What happens if timing changes?
  • Costs: What is the current rate, what is included, and which one-time or recurring charges should be planned for? Request written details. This website does not publish a rate or confirm insurance coverage.
  • Daily life: What are the current expectations for shared spaces, meetings, visitors and personal belongings?
  • Support and appointments: How is support reached, what is available, and how will existing outside appointments and transportation be arranged?

Use our residence comparison questions and budget planner to organize your answers. Before moving, review the packing guide.

For referring professionals

Clinicians and treatment centers can call the team, contact kasey@obrliving.com, or select “Referring clinician/treatment center” on the inquiry form.

Start with a non-sensitive request to discuss housing fit, timing and the referral process. Ask the team how any necessary records and resident permissions should be handled. Do not send medical records, diagnoses, medication lists or other sensitive clinical details through the general website form.

A referral or inquiry does not confirm acceptance or availability. Coordinate the housing decision with the prospective resident and the people involved in their ongoing care.

Planning the move with family?

Our family roles planner helps the prospective resident and the people they want involved divide practical tasks, clarify financial help and discuss communication preferences. Use it alongside the application details provided by our team.

Talk through the next step.

Call 561-449-0556 or send a general inquiry. Our team typically responds within one business day.
